Under the Tamil Nadu Higher Education Assurance Scheme , the girls who are student of government school will be given a monthly deposit to continue their higher education. For the successful implementation of the scheme, the state government decided to spent Rs 698 crores. The announcement about the scheme was made by the finance minister palanivel thiaga Rajan on 18th March 2022. The state government decided to give Rs 1000 to the girls’ students of the government schools. The amount will be directly sent to the bank account of the beneficiaries. This Tamil Nadu Higher Education Assurance Scheme will prove beneficial for about 6 lakh students of the state.
