Objectives of Amma Two Wheeler Scheme

Two Wheeler Scheme Eligibility Criteria
Applicants who want to apply for the Two Wheeler Scheme must fulfill the eligibility criteria put forward by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The eligibility criteria for Two Wheeler Scheme are as follows:
- Initially, the age limit was 18 to 40 years. Last year, the upper age limit was raised to 45 years.
- Applicant must be a Tamil Nadu resident.
- Individually or in a group, the candidate should be working for a wage or engaged in some form of livelihood activity.
- An applicant’s annual income should not exceed Rs 2,50,000 / -.
- A candidate must be able to ride a two-wheeler. They must present a valid two-wheel driver’s licence or a learner’s permit.
- The applicant should have taken the eighth-grade tests. Those who passed as well as those who failed are both eligible.

- In both the organised and unorganised sectors, women registered as workers.
- Shops and establishments employ women.
- Women who work for themselves, whether in petty trades or not.
- Women workig in the following sectors:
- Women in Government-Aided Organizations (GAOs)
- Institutions of the Private Sector
- Projects of the Government
- Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) – Panchayats Level Federations (PLFs), Village Poverty Reduction Committees (VPRCs), Mavatta Makkal Kattral Maiyam (Makamai) – who are paid on a consolidated salary, daily wages, or on a contract basis.
- ASHA workers and banking correspondents / banking facilitators
- At the time of application, the candidate must have a valid Two Wheeler / Learner License Registration (LLR).
- The applicant should have appeared for the class 8th examination (Passed / Failed).
- Priority will be given to the following-

- The Amma two-wheeler project would use brand new vehicles.
- The applicant may choose any gearless or auto gear motorised two-wheeler as the vehicle.
- The Scooty must be produced on or after January 1, 2018.
